My New Found Love

Finally, the time has come.

Come here my love, come here~~~~~~~~~

Curious to know who's my new love right??

Haha.. it's my new Nokia N73 Music Edition.

Gotcha...!! for those thought I'm finally free from bachelorhood (=.=''' haih... that means I'm still single and available from the moment I'm born to this world...)

Meet my new partner. This phone is an extension model originated from the original Nokia N73, with the same specs and features as N73, plus the upgrades such as the music button on the keypad, mini SD 2GB that comes with the package, and also the nifty hands free set with the 2.5mm audio jack that allow users to jack in any ear phone that they like, giving users the option of getting the best earphones to enjoy the enhanced music capability of the phone, and not restricted only to use Nokia ear phones (frankly, which does not look cool at all)

My brother was using this model as well, since early 2008. Seeing how a Symbian phone can be so handy (of its wide range of functions and flexible customisation ability) and looks decent at the same time (cool matted Black, I like it!), plus my ex-love (Sony Ericsson w800i) has started to behave like an old hag, I decided to trade in my walkman phone and switch to Nokia N73 ME.

It was not easy to depart with my orangey walkman phone, as I bought the w800i during my 21th birthday, as a present to myself, and the phone has been my best MP3 player ever since. However, as the Chinese sayings, if the old stuffs don't leave, the new things won't come to you.

Conclusion: It's good to have a change amidst my hectic working life.

Ok, time to continue work....
There are tonnes of things I still want to blog....
But time is definitely not enough for me now...
I'm so missing study life!!
Wish I can de-learn everything and have an excuse to go back to school again...hahaha...

PwC 1st Experience @ Le Meridien Hotel

Where there's a beginning, there'll be an end.

Before we know it, it is the final day of our 1st Experience programme with PwC Malaysia.

Ming Chin (centred-left pic), our dearest and lovely trainer (she's all motherly and like a big sister to all of us^^).
Managed to get a snap shot of how it looked like in our training room as well.

Our 'graduation' dinner at Le Meridien Hotel. With all my CIPS 1 batchmates (left pic), and also me being the thorn among the roses.

With Yoon Weng and Jason (left pic).
With Lip Sy, Ting Fang and Chee Wai, the table 14 members during the training (right pic).

The EUMI gang (left pic), namely Hui Chieh, Yin Whai, Lee Ling, Laura, Sue Hui, Ronald, Muk, Jia Wen, Kathryn, Juvan, Ting Fang, Vannesa... (hope I get the names correct. sorry if I quoted any wrong name... hahaha).

Right pic: With Kenneth, Ivan, Celine, Jessie. Eileen, Lee Lian, Gerald, Jason....

Overally, the 1st Experience programme is truly unforgetable, fun, exciting, some says crazy, and some says relaxing. To all the January 2007 1st Experience freshies, thank you for everything and it's great to know you all !! Keep in touch and God bless!!

PwC 1st Experience @ Centro, Sooka Sentral

Another part of our training is to have a dinner session with our section leaders a.k.a. our bosses of our respective working department. So that means we have another free dinner session from PwC.... Good stuff rite?

Cheers with Jason and Gerald. I like the ambience of Centro. A recommended chill out place with friends and colleagues. It's a new pub cafe at Sooka Sentral, near KL Sentral.

With Lip Sy and Jalilah (CIPS PLAS batchmates), Jumaiiyah and Mark (my CIPS 1 batchmates).

With MMG batchmates and my fellow CIPS 1 co-workers (not forgetting June Ann and Chee Wai).

The session with our section leaders (a senior manager and a partner) was alrite.
I quite enjoyed the food served (3-course meal).
But the dessert was damn cheapo.
I think they served some Tesco brand ice cream topped with some fresh cream and jello.
A bit potong stim for the ambience and atmosphere.

More 1st Experience posts to come.

PwC 1st Experience @ Mdm Kwan & Cosmic Bowl

During my training in PwC 1st Experience, we were treated with a good hearty feast of dinner in Madam Kwan (on one of the training days). Not bad right? Get training and free dinner also hehe....

With Celine, Jessie, Lip Sy, Mark, and Yin Whai.

The good hearty dishes that made us warm and fuzzy after a long day of training ~ blurp~
After filling up our linked-to-black-hole-stomach (was really hungry and thristy), we were treated with free bowling sessions at Cosmic Bowl. It was my first time to have a bowling sesison with a group of 60 people. I can clearly see the other patrons in the bowling arena showing intrigued and weird faces as they witnessed some 60 OLs and OGs (office lady and office guy?) marched in with laptop bags (because we have to bring our laptops whenever and wherever we go after work, and cannot leave the notebooks in the car, scared kena curi pulak)
Me vs Shi Yan (Red vs Yellow)
My bowling team (Eric, Shi Yan, Laura and Juvan). Check out our score board!! Feel damn happy with my score hahaha... managed to pin down to 100 points... *smile*
Sorry for the long delay in updates folks.
Been tighly occupied with work.
More updates to come.

PwC 1st Experience @ Avilion, Port Dickson

On the 2nd day of 2008, I resumed my life chapter with Pricewaterhouse Coopers, one of the big four firms (don't understand my French? in simple words, it's one of the big big multinational companies *ehem ehem*). Previously I did my internship with PwC in year 2006. So here I am, back again.

As fresh graduates, PwC sent me along with 3 buses of new joiners for an off site training in Avilion, Port Dickson. Avilion is well known for it's romantic and cozy water chalets. Too bad I'm not sharing such a 'romantic getaway' trip with someone special T_T

But I'm so happy to meet my SHU mates!! Kenneth, Jessie, Celine, Lip Sy, Pao Phing, June Ann and Poh Ying, hambalang were there!!

Upon arriving PD, we were given a set of training kits. Mostly are coloured in orange, including our T-Shirts, pencil case, etc. Coincidently, my handphone ornament (hanging from my pocket) and my W800i handphone also orange coloured. Damn matching right?

New found friends : Gerald and Imran. They were seated in our dinner table in Admiral Marina & Leisure Club.

After a long day of indoor and outdoor induction with team building activities, we were rewarded with a special dinner treat. We did not dine in Avillion ladies and gentlemen. We were 'chauffeured' to Admiral Marina & Leisure Club to have our dinner. The food was deliciously and yummily served. We had a wide array of barbeque buffet choices, exotic local Malaysian food and delights, as well as a whole lot of delicately prepared Western desserts. The theme of the dinner venue was once again, romantic. It was an open dinning area located next to a marina port with soothing sea ambience, dim lighting, plus some 'matching' music playing at the background. Why PwC 1st Experience want us to feel so romantic wan?

More new found friends : Ivan and Vincent.

After a hearty and awesome dinner, we started to feel bored and decided to do rooms hopping. I was allocated to stay in Garden Villa. Noticed the ambience of the pictures? Yeap, it is romantically themed as well (gee, maybe PwC wants to boost up our sense of romance to prepare for work?)

In Water Villa (Jessie's room). Met Jessie's roommate Jia Wen and her friends. The Water Villa is lagi romantic than Garden Villa. The bathroom itself is spacious and the shower area is open aired!

So how was the training overall? Other than a tad too romantically themed (unintentionally of course), the induction was pretty good. Two thumbs up to the organiser!!

Go Kart @ Shah Alam

During the X'mas gathering in my uncle's place, my cousin, Terence, suddenly popped up with an idea...... "Why don't we go play Go Kart now? There is a new go kart arena near our house. It opens until 10pm." It was 9pm. Without second thought, we all said HELL YEAH!!

Come to think of it, it's been many years since I played go kart. The last time that I went for go karting was during a BMW 3 series launch exhibition in Sepang F1 Circuit... it was like probably 10 years ago!!

The Go Kart in Shah Alam (forgot the name of the place already) was 15 minutes drive from my uncle's place. The go kart track was fairly big, measured about 1.1 km and the difficulty of the track can be compared to a sized down version F1 track. There are several challenging turnings and also 2 hair pins junction in the track itself (cannot understand?? shesh... I should take a snap shot of the track layout...)
Before taking off for the 10 minutes ride!!

Noticed the white thingey on our head...?? the go kart facilitator provides each of us a disposable hair net for hygiene purposes. I did not know that hair net also comes in disposable type!! I was so sampat to bring back one as souvenir *sweat* The Go karters Ultraman pipipipiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii....

Ted on the GO!! (why the photographer not taking pictures of me T_T)

Never underestimate the speed of the small kart!! We were actually driving up to 60-70 km/hr on the track itself. It was definitely 1000000000000000000 zillion times faster than the Genting Go Kart!! It's fast enough to put ourself into self spins if we lost maneuver of the karts (shamed to say that I actually went into a wild spin on track, as I was too excited and lost control after taking over Alyson on the track! Syoknyaaaaaa)

After one session, we decided to go for another round. It was really exhilirating and addictive I must say. But only five of us continued to race in the following session. The girls and Calvin stay behind to watch us. So they were kinda bored while waiting and decided to ride on the facilitator's motorbike!! Wonder why Alyson so happy on the bike (no motorbike in Australia? =_=")

Oh yeah, did I mention that two rounds of Go Karts only cost us RM65?

Definitely will be back for more *smile*
